Do I have to wait long for a visit?

We can usually see any new or existing patients in one of our offices within three business days. We take emergency visits same-day.

Do you accept my insurance?

Please contact our office to determine if we participate in your plan. We are happy to treat out-of-network patients as well.

Please be advised that although we participate in many health plans, due to the new insurance regulations involving the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) there are often deductibles that must be met before insurance company benefits commence. Please be assured that we will be happy to assist and inform you of the specifics of your particular policy at the time of your visit.

Will I need a referral?

Many HMO and point-of-service (POS) plans still require an ELECTRONIC referral in order to see any specialist. Please be certain to contact your primary care physician before your appointment to be certain that the referral is on file with our office. We are happy to assist you if there is a problem.

Do you treat toddlers, children and adolescents?

Yes, we enjoy treating these age groups for the wide variety of conditions that they can present with to our offices.

What is routine foot care and how much does it cost?

Routine foot care is the trimming of toenails and corns and calluses in patients who do not have poor circulation, diabetes or diseased toenalis. The fee is currently $52.00 and includes whirlpool if you desire.

Will I need general anesthesia for my surgical procedure?

Most outpatient procedures that we perform are done utilizing local anesthesia with intavenous sedation.  This is an extremely safe form of anesthesia to keep the patient comfortable during the procedure.

Will there be a lot of pain associated with my surgery?

Usually not. A great majority of the patients that undergo surgery have minimal to no pain during or after surgery.

How long will I need to be off my feet for surgery?

Depending on the type of procedure performed, you may be allowed to bear weight immediately following the procedure, however, some surgeries may require up to 8-10 weeks of non weight bearing, meaning that crutches or a walker will be needed to aid in ambulation.

Do insurance companies pay for orthotics?

At this time, many do not. It is best for you to verify this with your individual policy. We will be happy to submit a claim on your behalf, once full payment is received. We may not be able to accept assignment for orthotic payments from insurance companies.

Do you treat sports medicine injuries?

Yes, we are happy to treat sports medicine injuries.

Do you provide shoes/inserts and AFO’s (Ankle-Foot Orthotics) for diabetics?

Yes. Under the Medicare Therapeutic Shoe Bill, we provide diabetic shoes and inserts for appropriate patients as part of our approach to complete podiatric care.
